SHIPPING AND HANDLING
Most items will be shipped UPS or FedEx Ground unless prohibited by size or weight, in which case a freight carrier will be used. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost upon request. For International orders, we may elect to ship by an international carrier of our discretion. Please note that Trade agreements vary between International countries. For this reason, duties and taxes applicable on the importation of any of Black Star(s) products are the full responsibility of the customer as well as any brokerage fees.
Black Star Distribution does not accept unauthorized returns. In the event that an item must be returned, the customer must first contact us, and obtain a return authorization number. This number must be clearly marked on the outside of your return package. Shipping costs, unless otherwise specially provided for, are the buyer’s responsibility. An invoice, with date of sale, must be included with the return package. To receive a refund or credit, returned items must be in original packaging, unused, in original condition and received by Black Star Distribution’s within 7 days of your original receipt of the product. No credit will be issued for damaged, installed or deformed items. Items will be inspected prior to issuance of any refund or credit. Special order items cannot be returned, unless they have manufacturer’s defects. All items eligible for return are subject to a 25% restocking fee, except in cases where the return was caused by our error. Please note that any damage must be reported to Black Star Distribution prior to any installation. We do not offer any exchanges or refunds on items that have been installed or used.
Black Star Distribution and its suppliers deliver merchandise to carriers properly protected and packaged. Therefore, damage in transit is the responsibility of the carrier. If a package appears damaged when you receive it, indicate the condition of the package (i.e., specific damage) on your receipt from the carrier along with your signature. If damage is discovered after opening the package, notify the carrier immediately. Claims for damage must be handled through the carrier, not Black Star Distribution. If necessary, we will assist you in any claim to the degree practical.
Black Star Distribution and its manufacturers and supported retailers deliver merchandise to carriers properly protected and packaged. Any damage incurred in transit is the sole responsibility of the carrier. If a package appears damaged upon its arrival, specifically describe the condition of the package on the receipt from your carrier. Notify the carrier immediately if an item is found to be damaged after opening the package. If needed, Black Star will assist the customer in your claim to a practical degree.
All prices are quoted from Buffalo Grove, IL, and shown in United States currency. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. You will be notified of any price change at time of order.
Unless otherwise noted, all of Black Star products are guaranteed to be first quality merchandise. Many products carry a manufacturer's warranty. Black Star will pass this warranty on to original buyer. Parts purchased used or through unauthorized distribution channels will no longer carry a warranty whatsoever. There is no warranty, expressed or implied, on any parts used for competition or track events. Additionally, there is no warranty on electrical parts. Buyer shall notify Black Star Distribution immediately upon discovery of any product defect. Defective items must be returned for replacement in accordance with our return policy and at buyer's expense. We will replace all defective items that meet return/replacement requirements, but will not accept any liability for loss or inconvenience caused by their use or failure. All warranties are voided if defect has been caused in whole or in part by improper installation, abuse or misuse. We reserve the right to withhold issuance of credit until returned defective part has been examined and tested.
Acceptable forms of payment are limited to:
- Certified Bank or Cashier's Check
- Credit Card (VISA, M/C, AMEX, Discover)
- Wire Transfer
- Personal check (under the conditions listed below)
Personal checks will be accepted as payment only after the funds have cleared and been transferred into Black Star Distribution’s account. All merchandise remains the property of Black Star Distribution until payment is finalized. Deposits may be required for special order items.
Many products sold by Black Star Distribution may not be DOT or TUV approved for highway use on public roads. These products are designed for show, off-road or racing applications only. It is the sole and complete responsibility of the buyer to ensure that their vehicles meet all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Buyer assumes all liability and risk associated with the use of high performance products and holds Black Star Distribution and its owners harmless of any liability.
